RainSoft Salt Question

Put 5 gallons of water in the salt tank and fill with salt to the top. Always keep salt level at least half full.

Initially you can fill the brine tank up with salt. I prefer to keep it half full with salt and add a bag or 2 when it gets low. Especially if it takes several months to go down. If your softener is in a hot moist environment(summer humidity) keep it lower to prevent a salt bridge. Also easier to clean and service. Steve G
