Has anyone heard of the lungs of a kitten becoming mineralized? My vet has said he's hasn't seen it in his thirty years of practice? Is their a treatment? What can cause it?

@dsweet050,
One cause of lung mineralization is persistent calcemia. Did your vet mention this?

@Miller,
He has not mentioned that. A friend did mention that(she in school to be a vet) but she said it would be odd in such a young kitten(6 monthsold)

@dsweet050,
I just read an article in a medical journal about a very young boy who had a severe case of hypercalcemia. He was then diagnosed with leukemia. Do kittens get leukemia?
