Are you tonedeaf? This test may prove you wrong.

Wow.. ok. I truly didn't mean to depress you all, I really thought this would prove all the naysayers in your life wrong. I thought that this would brighten the day of those who had always believed they had a lead ear and that this test might be prove otherwise. I got pretty much got 90's across the board...I know I'm musical but I have always thought music could be learned, or that it was innate and that some people just needed a little extra, I dunno, belief in themselves...

It's funny about your family Engineer... In my family there are very few "artsy" types, I'm the anomaly. I can't tell you how many relatives can't clap out a rhythm. They really look down, or can't understand my predilections. I always thought they were being kinda stubborn. Wink

@Ceili,
I wouldn't be depressed except that I, who reads the bbc most every day, am not allowed in to do some tone thing.
We'll see.

Letty and Beth, off key sounds irritate me too. I cannot abide people wearing iPods jacked up so that they go deaf, but I hear the snowy residue. Hate it! Drives me crazy. I can't stand Casinos either. I know all the notes are a triad on a major key but it's the unending madness, the layers of repeating tones, the cacophony that sends me round the bend..

I am absolutely tonedeaf.....I did not take the test as I did not feel like signing in.
I like to listen to music, also classical music, but don´t ask me what composer or what piece of music is being played.
When our daughter was just a few months old and I started to sing some songs for her she looked very unhappy....so I gave it up.
The funny thing is that people think I have a singing voice.
Not all the time, but when I hear classical music I often can tell if it is a British orchestra playing. Why I don´t know. Guess it is because the way they play with more feelings and not as hard as German orchestras. Sometimes I mix them up with Scandinavian or American orchestras.
