Have you tried a homemade natural de-icer for car windows?

Its true, even though vinegar is a wek pone, it is an acid that will react with several metals. I imagine that it wouldnt take the finish off your car unless you use it alot and let it just evaporate .
As Buttreflynet says, why not buy the blue stuff at a gas station? I can get it ofr under 2.50 a gal and often its on sale so Ill buy a case at like 1.75 and Ill store it in the garage . Its not like itll spoil.
