Listen up, all you A2K book lovers. Google has started an experiment whereby people looking up certain books will be able to access excerpts from the book.

What do you think of that? Do you think that this service will prove valuable to you?

I'm a creature of inertia, so I'll probably continue using Amazon "Look Inside" and the various "Read an Exerpt" offered by publishers.

Of course, if Google offers exerpts all under one cyber roof....

It's not up yet but the URL will be print.google.com

Google is reacting to Amazon, who owns Alexa, who owns a crawl bigger than Google's (the biggest in the world).

Alexa's crawl isn't being used to it's full extent yet. But Amazon/Alexa is a dark horse in the search engine wars and Google is recting (in their usual fine form) to Amazon's move.
