@Miller,
Interesting story today on Trump. He declared he gives money to charity but upon examination it appears the Trump Foundation which Trump does not donate to gives the money to charities Trump claimed. Trump just declares he is donating the money other people donated to his Foundation.

Not trying to kill the thread, but in real life, I do not know one single person who even wants to see Donald Trump again. Of course, New Mexico is a notoriously liberal state.

The rise of Trump, which has now lasted a fortnight longer than the predictions of his collapse allowed, is related directly to the shaming of elected politicians. The text and subtext of every Trump speech is about how stupid, venal and incompetent all politicians and bureaucrats are.

"I made a lot of money from politicians," Trump said last week at an Iowa news conference. "If you can't make money from a politician, you shouldn't be in business." His point wasn't that he needed kickbacks; it was that these people were suckers. And Congress, as voters will tell you, collects the biggest suckers of all under one dome.

Exactly, "Donald Duck" and Donald Trump" is the same vote . And the people are pissed, this could go a long ways.

He doesn't even appear to be master of his dome.

Donald Trump Thinks You Should Be Able To Bring Guns Anywhere, Except His Own Hotels
Source: Think Progress

Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump regularly calls for getting rid of gun-free zones. However, if the real estate magnate is to succeed in his quest, he’ll have to start with places like Trump-branded hotels and golf courses.

For years, the New York businessman has boisterously voiced his opposition to gun-free zones. In a 2014 interview with the Washington Times, Trump criticized the Aurora theater where James Holmes massacred 12 people and injured 70 more for being a gun-free zone. “If some of the people in the movie theater had a gun, they’d have been shooting at him,” he said. “Nobody had a gun so they were totally defenseless.”

Getting rid of gun-free zones has also been a regular talking point for Trump on the campaign trail. “We have to get rid of that whole gun-free zone nonsense and just stop it,” Trump declared during a speech in Charleston, South Carolina on July 21. “We gotta stick up for the Second Amendment.” He made a similar call on Twitter days earlier following the shootings at two military centers that left five individuals, as well as the gunman, dead.

ThinkProgress spoke with a number of hotels and golf courses in the Trump empire and found that multiple locations were gun-free zones, even for guests with concealed-carry permits.

Donald Trump may have spoken with Bill Clinton (maybe about politics, maybe not) and then declared himself a candidate for the Republican nomination. Of course, this means Clinton encouraged him to run and Trump's whole campaign has been designed to hurt Republicans.

This is the conspiracy theory Republicans are now trying to push. Conspiracy or not, it seems like a loudmouth asshole is exactly who the Republican voters want. How is that a bad thing for their party? Cool

Trump handed Bernie a plum last night...
...with his declarations that his money has bought influence from politicians. I assume that it would be illegal to lift the actual footage from the debates, but it certainly isn't illegal to quote him verbatim.

From the actual debate transcript:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2015/08/06/annotated-transcript-the-aug-6-gop-debate/

"BAIER: Mr. Trump, it's not just your past support for single- payer health care. You've also supported a host of other liberal policies. Use -- you've also donated to several Democratic candidates, Hillary Clinton included, Nancy Pelosi.

You explained away those donations saying you did that to get business-related favors.

And you said recently, quote, "When you give, they do whatever the hell you want them to do."

TRUMP: You'd better believe it."

and

"TRUMP: Sounds good. Sounds good to me, Governor.

I will tell you that our system is broken. I gave to many people, before this, before two months ago, I was a businessman. I give to everybody. When they call, I give.

And do you know what?

When I need something from them two years later, three years later, I call them, they are there for me.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: So what did you get?

TRUMP: And that's a broken system."

Trump being excluded from this hypocritical Georgia bloggers fete for being offensive to females is the best thing that could have happened to Trump. He now has great leverage to use against the political elite, and if he does it he will get tons of mileage.

This is the guy who says that Trump is not morally pure enough to be on his stage

I assume not. I assume that Obama's marxist harpy wife would go Lorena Bobbit on him should he even think about it, but I ask the question to make one simple point: Barack Obama, like Elliott Spitzer, is a creation of the liberal media and, as a result, could be a serial killing transvestite and the media would turn a blind eye. Trump campaign claims it fired top adviser -- who says he quit

Last edited Sat Aug 8, 2015, 03:22 PM - Edit history (4)
Source: CNN

Donald Trump's campaign said Saturday it has fired top political adviser Roger Stone -- who promptly said he had quit.

"Mr. Trump fired Roger Stone last night. We have a tremendously successful campaign and Roger wanted to use the campaign for his own personal publicity. He has had a number of articles about him recently and Mr. Trump wants to keep the focus of the campaign on how to Make America Great Again," a campaign spokesperson told CNN.

Stone, however, told CNN that he quit, and provided what he said was his resignation letter.

"Unfortunately, the current controversies involving personalities and provocative media fights have reached such a high volume that it has distracted attention from your platform and overwhelmed your core message. With this current direction of the candidacy, I no longer can remain involved in your campaign," the letter says.

Stone is an old Nixon dirty trixter and a proud veteran of CREEP.

(and utterly lacking in self awareness)

http://cdn01.dailycaller.com/wp-content/user_photos/rogerstone-64127544.jpg
(Sadly, not a photoshop)

More recently, you may know him as the leader of the Brooks Brothers Riot, in which a mob of GOP operatives and Tom DeLay office staffers, hired by Jim Bakker, stormed the vote count in the Florida 2000 mess and got it shut down.
----
I guess Stone forgot to advise Trump not accuse the female debate moderator of being on her period. What does this loser think he's being paid for, anyway?

Are we getting near total implosion and withdrawal from the race time? With top advisors fleeing, this has shades of Ross Perot's crackup before pulling out. Or will Trump go full Katherine Harris and keep on crazying til the end?

This is easily the most hilarious season of GOP Clown Car ever!
