hit the jackpot today : gas ( in kingston ) was 99.9.cents a liter at shell about 4 pm .
Very Happy

i certainly filled the tank to the brim .

only a few days ago it was touching $ 1.10 a liter .

u.s. thanksgiving almost over - so can. gas prices will often fall ...

I noticed that in NW New Mexico just today. The majors are at $2.90/gal.

gas prices in kingston have now reached $ 1.15!!
that's an increasre of about 15 % in just one week - a little stiff imho .
i always understood that canada was a producer and exporter of oil and gas , but ... ...

New Mexico is also a net exporter. In the late 70s, Denver price broke a dollar while Aspen was still .89. Trust me, there were no oil wells in Aspen. Seems like the closer to the well, the higher the price. I understand California gets the high price, and California's got lots of oil wells.

with the snow swirling around , i thought it might be a good idea to get a fill up .
shell station : can. $ 1.039 per liter - but loooong lineup - around the corner to canadian tire : can. # 1.099 - long lineup and snow getting heavier - so i pulled in .
when i left after 5 minutes the price was just being jacked-up to $ 1.199 .

grrrr ... ...

Still and all, it's best to fill up regardless of price when you might be stuck idling in jammed up traffic due to snow storms.

We've topped out at about USD 3.09/gallon at the moment.

The station with usually the lowest price in town just hit $3.26. Didn't notice the mainstream retailers.
