Ain't none here in Abq, in my explorations, even at the french cafe..

Although - there is a place on 2nd or 4th that some of us haven't tried. I am guessing it is the supplier of the not-croissant-great french place.

Apparently he was interested in how flat bread is made around the world.

If you live anywhere near the Dallas area, there is a fabulous yeast roll served at Bubba's (also very strong yeast taste). These rolls are the best I have ever had and I have been trying to find the recipe as well. They almost taste like they have beer in them, but evidently they don't. Guess that is the 'malt/barley' flavor you mentioned. Bubba's is located across the street from SMU on Hillcrest in Dallas.
