Steven Wright: instant water, just add.....
He lived on a one-way dead-end street.

The early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.

I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she left me before we met.

If Barbie is so popular, why do you have to buy her friends?

OK, so what's the speed of dark?

All those who believe in psychokinesis raise my hand.

Stephen Wright is brilliant. Laughing

Another vote for Billy Connolly and Steven Wright. Dennis Leary has done some good work, but he's not as good as he used to be.

And let's not forget the ladies: Paula Poundstone and Ellen Degeneres are first rate in my book.

In my younger days, Bill Cosby was The Man.

Boycott shampoo! Demand the REAL poo!

Who is General Failure and why is he reading my hard disk?

Why do psychics have to ask you for your name?

The problem with the gene pool is that there is no lifeguard.

Laughing I could go on forever with the Steven Wright one liners.

I like Dennis Leary and Janeane Garafalo, but they're much more political than straight stand-up.

Steven Wright:
Yesterday I was...no that wasn't me.

Just brilliant

Steve Martin:
In France, they say...
It's like they have a whole different language for everything.

To add to all the great people on the list, Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence. They can keep a man rolling for an hour and a half straight.

Robert Schimmell:

We got a dog the other day, and he shit on the carpet....so I got mad and I wanted to hit him. My wife said "No, don't hit him thats cruel...rub his face in the shit, that's what you do."

cavfancier,

From Toronto, eh? I've visited Toronto close to thirty times in the last twenty five years or so. That includes being tour director on theatre bus trips to Toronto.

I think Toronto hung the moon.

I know this doesn't belong on this thread. Probably on Travel and Culture or North America. I may see you there.
