Is anyone aware of a piece of software that would provide me with details in terms of connection points or files that are being sent out over my internet connection. There are times it seems that the connection is way busierthan it should be and i just hope it is because i am receiving an update or something and it is not for other reasons i am not aware of. I have Norton 360 so i suspect there are no worms viruses etc doing it. Would just like some facts.

@kcmbyrne,
You need a freeware packet sniffer such as wireshark.

@kcmbyrne,
You can also install a personal firewall program. They allow you to specify outgoing connections by both application an port numbers.
