I'll be serious for a minute (bear with me) - some of our newbies have a certain sweetness I don't want to just crush, except when I want to smack it silly as passive aggressive. (Which is probably a passive aggressive comment, but, hey.) Maybe the especially sensitive among them will gain in understanding elasticity, and maybe us crudites will become minutely or even measurably more polite.
