Wow, a two year revival.

I never met Tyson, and I'm glad I didn't.

I met Ali twice, and am very proud of it. The guy is/was huge. 6' 4" or so, mitts like a catcher, and reflexes like no other. And a nice man.

Late 70's in L.A. He was already exhibiting signs of Parkinsons. That's why I say I met him twice. Once off, once on.

On that note, once I was stuck in the Denver airport and met Jerry Quarry's younger brother, who was at the time pursuing a boxing career. I can't remember his name, but he was excited that I had met Ali and knew that his brother fought him.

Jerry died a few years ago after falling backwards down the stairs of his front porch and hitting his head, a victim of punch drunkness/Parkinsons, which often cannot be distinguished.
