Sweetheart, there were these
Persians around me, staring at
all these chips that were on
the table and I've never had
that feeling before, the feeling
that I was completely in control.
I was the one. I didn't need
anything. I didn't care. I
didn't have any problems. Do
you know that feeling
?

"Lost in America"

Hey, it took a few days, but you got it. Probably my favorite scene in the movie when she loses all of their nestegg and they're headed towards a life as trailer trash. I had to laugh at the highlighting of the movie "In America," which bears some resemblance to ideas about the American dream that are comically extrapolated in "Lost in America." Not too many successful satirical comdies out there, but it's one of them.

You are suppose to wait until the poster confirms you have the right answer before posting another quote. No guess right now as I have to run.

It's "Oscar" but I think nobody knew you were giving a new clue.

Naw, at least not any live ashes! I noticed JerryR didn't post clear rules on the header and did so later on. It is protocol on A2K on quizzes for the poster of the clue or question to come back and confirm it, then it's your turn. So we won't be sending Tony Soprano out to take care of you.

(It also helps to use the "Post a Reply" page and either make the actual quote italic, in a color or bold (or any of the combinations):

Have you ever watched a person
deteriorate? Day by day. I
don't mean in a spiritual sense.

It's a "movie" within a movie. What is the name of the ersatz movie Kevin is watching on the television when the gangster utters that quote?

I don't know whether someone noticed, but the game has been stuck. Won't be bad if Ticomaya gives us some hint.

It's a fake movie, the footage of which was shot just for the movie "Home Alone." It has the word "Angels" in it .......

But dancingnancy already guessed the right movie -- it should be her turn. Unless the originator of this quiz wants to turn it into fake movies on TV screens in real movies.

AllanSwann is incorrect. I was looking for the name of the movie Kevin was watching. It's easily determined.
