@joefromchicago,
They had a nice party in Philly last night. It didnt seem that all fired somber. I think the series was just an excuse to get hammered.

@farmerman,
No doubt. It was charming how the Flyer fans booed the presentation of the Conn Smythe Trophy and the Stanley Cup. Stay classy, Philadelphia!

Did any of the locals go to the parade/rally today? I was planning on coming down for Blues Fest this afternoon but changed my mind. Total crowd estimate along the entire route is 2 million.

@JPB,
i'm still loving watching the final goal, the most anti-climactic goal i think i've ever seen, that few seconds of "my god, where's the puck, what just happened here?" is priceless

@djjd62,
Yep.

Today is an unbelievable day in Chicago. The Blackhawks rally this morning, the crosstown classic between the White Sox and the Cubs at Wriggley this afternoon, opening day of Blues Fest in Grant Park and no rain -- at least not downtown yet.

Shame on me--but I went to work this morning in downtown Chicago and stayed inside the building all day.

Some of my coworkers left the building for the parade and then came back to work afterwards.

I wonder if Gargamel or Joefromchicago went to the parade. (They also work in this area.)

@wandeljw,
I had a pretty good view from my office window. I'll see if I can post photos.
