Before I was born, my parents had a gorgeous english setter named Sally. I know she was gorgeous from the photo. Anyway, she too ate socks and was diagnosed with some damned thing I don't remember the words about since I might have been eight when I heard about it. They had to put her down. That's a long time ago, so maybe they can help dogs who do that now.... I mean, besides stomach emptying and the family foregoing socks.

Maybe the answer is laundry bag usage.
