Arizona can bite my Chalupa!

Arizona just made being Hispanic a reason to be stopped by the police. The term is "reasonable suspicion" of being an "illegal immigrant"... but we all know that white people without accents aren't the target of this law.

This law will be challenged in court. And, more importantly, this will have a further effect in getting Hispanic Americans politically energized and engaged.

But let me just say, this racist, hateful law pisses me off personally. I will be glad when it costs this backwards, bigoted state millions of dollars in legal fees and lost business.

@ebrown p,
For once you and I are in perfect agreement. I am no fan of illegal immigration - I want to legalize these people and take their tax monies! - but this is outrageous racism.

I hope that the good cops of the state of AZ have the decency to not enforce this law, for god's sake...

@Cycloptichorn,
What I love is that during the worst economic in many decades the fools are bringing on a world wide boycott on themselves.

I think that's unfair.

There have to be lots of perfectly decent Repubs...this'll be the loony wing.

You had not taken note that the loony wing is being allow to run the GOP ship of late?

That any politician that does not now give lip serve to the Rush wing is driven out at the primary level of the party?

Joe Arpaio

The most racist person I have seen. Yes I have seen him in action and in person. Joe needs to go.

As long as the GOP allow the nuts to control the party it does not deserve any respect at all.

And unless it change it course in a short time frame it is going to go the way of the Federal Party ending up with 18 to 20 percent of the population that consist of well off but still angry white males.

Law & Border
The Arizona immigration law is very clear -- the police will only check people who are reasonably suspicious. (08:21)

@BillRM,
I might support a fence on the northern border of AZ.
