@Lordyaswas,
An experiment gone awry I'm afraid Lordy
The pale refers to the malt not the beer.

So....

My cheap go to beers are on this list. My beach beers for Pete's sake....

So - I am giving Amstel Light a shot.

@mismi,
nah...no oops. I thought it was interesting how you and i got taken in with the beer warning. It goes to show you how much nonsense there is on the internet.

Best beer in the world. Bold tasting and in my Dave Chappelle voice "It'll get you drunk!"

@Buttermilk,
It's fine, I didn't just drink when I was 16, I did other things as well. Colt 45 was cheap and was sold in the offy run by a little old lady who assumed if you were taller than her you were an adult.

I bought two bottles this beer from chocolatier Hotel Chocolat, I'll be opening them when my daughter gets back from China in a few weeks.

@izzythepush,
I am unsure Izzy. Cocoa beer?

Let me know what you think. I didn't think chocolate and red wine went well together when I heard about it either. Smile But once I tasted it - I got it.

I have been modifying how I eat. I am trying to make my own sauces and staying away from boxed anything. I am an avid label reader these days...the beaver butt (anal gland) that is passed off as "natural flavoring" totally grossed me out. I am not an over reactor as a whole...but I don't want to eat the anal gland of a beaver. Even if it is not necessarily bad for me. It pisses me off that they can pass this stuff off as "natural flavoring" instead of telling you what is really in it. Anyway - that is my own hang up...

I am not surprised that I got hooked into that beer warning seeing that I am so overly aware of it all right now. Wink

@mismi,
I will, it won't be for a few weeks though. Hotel Chocolat's chocolate is amazing though, exceptionally good.

@izzythepush,
When I was 16 I was making the rounds of the Welsh pubs, ecstatic, knowing I wouldn't be able to drink back in the USA until I was 21.

We were a hard drinking group of international students, especially the Scandinavians.

The bus driver would stop at the gates of the school and physically push all of us out of the bus where we'd stagger off to our dorms
.
It was a good experience for me for I got all that binging out of the way.
By the time I was 21 I'd become a responsible drinker...well, apart from a few benders. Very Happy
