@izzythepush,
Wines must be a lot easier to distinguish from one another in the blind tasting

@dalehileman,
I suppose so, but some, parsnip for instance, taste very much like a standard dry white wine. Clary sage has very similar results. I grow quite a bit of fruit, and it's a good way to use up the surplus. This year I've actually made 'real' wine with grapes.

@izzythepush,
My No. 2 Son makes “real” beer with standard ingredients

Since he hasn’t lately been able to visit as often as we’d like there’s been one such bot in the fridge for months

Let’s hope aging improves it

@dalehileman,
Beer is a lot more involved than wine, but it's ready sooner.

Aging definitely improves country wines.

@izzythepush,
Yes Izzy wines are generally improved with age but that doesn’t necessarily go for beer

@thack45,
When I lived in Newcastle I used to drink this stuff. If you ask for scotch in Newcastle you'll get a pint of this.

Beer-Flavored Cookie Company Hopes to Expand
Quote:

...
But their most sought-after cookies are made with beer, namely the hefeweizen citrus and coffee stout. They take beer, reduce it to syrup, and then whip it into the butter as if it were honey or molasses. The butter is then used to make their brewski-flavored cookies.

Blue Moon - a nice, light Belgian Wheat...

Shock Top is a little cheaper with a close nose and taste.
