Well, Letty, if DOA gives you the willies, I don't think I should hear it. (lol)

Here's one Der Bingel sang in Disney's Legend of Sleepy Hollow, but not scary. Didn't want to scare the kids.

Ichabod, what a name
Kind of odd, but nice just the same
Funny pan, funny frame
Ichabod, Ichabod Crane

Ichabod may be quaint
May be odd, and maybe he ain't, ooh bop!
Anyway there's no complaint
From Ichabod, Ichabod Crane

(spoken)And though the arrival of the pedagogue
Gave rise to mixed emotions
The townspeople all agreed
They've never seen anyone
Like Ichabod, Ichabod Crane

BUT, here's one the kids really would enjoy. (I don't know who performed it.)

Riding alone one night
Through woods so dark and cold
Ichabod Crane received a fright
Or so we're told

What really happened?
We'll never know
Our teacher is gone now
Why would he go?

(chorus)
Ichabod, what did he do?
You never even got to say goodbye
Ichabod, you would't take heed
But the pumpkin by the bridge cannot lie

This story's sad yet true
Be not deceived
The horseman could get you
So you must believe

(chorus)

Very Happy Smile Raggedy, Thanks for the Mr. Mouse song. I think the legend of sleepy hollow had to do with the ghost of a Hessian soldier. I didn't look it up, either.Seems that the soldier was searching for his head. One time in literature that brawn won over brains. Laughing Ah, Washington Irving...great writer.

Confused Letty: Why did you call it the Mr. Mouse song? Do I have my Sleepy Hollows confused? In the version I saw, Ichabod Crane was animated, but he looked like we'd imagine him to look.

Hey, Raggedy. Mr. Mouse is the signature of Walt Disney. Very Happy. If I'm not mistaken, Bing Crosby sang the song you posted. I remember Johnny Depp did a really SPOOKY movie about The Legend of Sleepy Hollow...

Well, I'm sorta like dlowan. I digress to a degree.

Of course. Mr. Mouse/Disney Thank you. Laughing You're not digressing - I'm retrogressing and that's just a tad depressing. Shocked And yes Der Bingle did sing the first song. I don't know who sang the second one.
