@Thomas,

Bostonians, I don't know what happened to your Artisani Park runs, but I've been told there will be a 5k on the Esplanade
near the Boston Commons on May 30. Might you guys be interested in attending? I'm thinking of signing up myself.
can't -- i'm going to be out of town that weekend.

the 3C Race guy has abandoned Boston entirely.
he still does plenty of races elsewhere in new england...

@Region Philbis,
How do you feel?

3.5 is an odd distance. I hope they have a 5K marker.

The Widget Factory isn't putting in a team this year. Instead they opted
for the Harvard Pilgrim Corporate 5K in Nashua. That was way too
inconvenient for me so I opted out.

@George,

the plan is to go back to the office in Southie after the race, (possibly grab a shower) and change in to dry duds...

I just checked out the results.
Looks like you were cranking out an 8:30 pace.
Not too shabby!

@George,
Ive discovered RAil Trails. Theres a national organization that has them documented and they publish maps and activities (besides just the walking)
Ive gotten into biker trails cause you can cover distances so you can see stuff (We like flower preserves where the hummingbirds hang out and, if you wear a RED hat, they will buzz you like youre a flower)
We always carry some syrupy stuff and when the red hat thing gets boring, we put some syrup on our hands and theyll alight and slop up the sugar syrup from anything like a eye dropper to a thimble.
Runnig is ok but seeing and interacting wth nature , thatsa bomb.

@farmerman,
We have a very popular rail trail north of Boston, the Minuteman, that I
have used a lot. Back when I worked in Lexington, I could bike to work
and use part of the trail on my route. It was wonderful -- straight and
flat. Almost a free ride.
