@Region Philbis,
woot! woot!

I joined the work walking club. The company hired a personal trainer for our group Shocked

Tomorrow (if the temps drop a bit) we're to walk 5.9 k in 55 minutes. It's a bit of a walk-trot for me with my stubby little legs, but I'll get it done (inside i I have to).

My goal is to evemtually do the whole 55 minutes as a trot (I have an aversion to calling it running).

@ehBeth,
they cancelled today's official walk because of "weather"

I'm going to do it with a co-worker tomorrow - walk/trot here I go!

HEY! I'm going to be running cross country in college this fall, so I guess you could say I'm pretty in to running.

@RUNN1NG EMOT10N,
That's fantastic! May I ask where you're attending school? If you don't want to be too specific, just the city or state would be fine.

@Region Philbis,
I'm sure it'll be better at the Seagull Stride on August 18. There's a reason for the famous expression: "as chilly as August in Boston".

@Thomas,
Rhys and I are going to do the "Stride 4 Health" at Revere Beach on
August 18th. They're honoring my cousin (who died earlier this year)
so most of my family will be there.

@Region Philbis,
It completely defeats the whole point of masochism, RP, to take painkillers. It's masochism on the soft.

@Region Philbis,
Way to go on the 10K Region....

I've been running Central Park
Singing after dark
People think I'm crazy

Stumbling on my feet
Shuffling through the street
People ask me, "What's the matter with you boy?"
Stones.

95 days to go --- This week (and some others) I'm running for charities on CharityMiles.org .

@Joe Nation,

thanx joe.

perspective #1
to complete a marathon, i would have to do another 20 miles.
that ain't happening... ever.

perspective #2
world-class runners only need an extra hour on top of my 10k time to finish a marathon...

R(it boggles the mind)P
