ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- A Rochester man has been arrested for the homicide of a man found in the west parking lot of Quarry Hill Park earlier this week.

22-year-old Anthony Deshawn Jones is in custody at the Olmsted County Detention Center.

The body of 47-year-old David Biester was found Sunday night around 9 p.m. by a man on a motorcycle headed into the park to escape the rain.........

A 21-year-old accused in a 2010 fatal shooting in Pineville was sentenced to life in prison Tuesday.

Michael Leon King was on trial for the killing of Jared Bolli, who was shot to death in January 2010 at the Willow Ridge Apartments off Park Road in Pineville. Bolli was 25.
King was one of at least three men charged in the killing.

SAN FRANCISCO - A 22-year-old woman suffered serious injuries after another woman mauled her over a parking spot, according to police.
The fight began when one person was angry that the other woman swooped into their spot.
As the confrontation became heated, witnesses said the two women began pushing and shoving and then one woman began biting the other repeatedly.

INDIANAPOLIS -- A 16-year-old boy convicted in the shooting of a Village Pantry clerk during a robbery attempt last year was sentenced on Friday to serve 30 years in prison and five years of probation, officials said.
Brandon Payton was 15 years old when the shooting happened in October at a store at 86th Street and Ditch Road.
Marcella Birnell, 45, was critically injured in the shooting and is recovering slowly in rehabilitation. She had portions of her skull removed and her brain was damaged.........

A man is being held in the Hillsborough County Jail on a Second Degree Murder charge in connection with a killing in Fort Myers.

Jerome Deon Parrish, 28, was arrested Tuesday in Tampa. Police say he's connected to the March 31st shooting death of 35-year-old Timothy Barnes.

MOBILE, Alabama -- Mobile police need your help to catch a mob that beat Matthew Owens so badly that he's in critical condition.

According to police, Owens fussed at some kids playing basketball in the middle of Delmar Drive about 8:30 Saturday night. They say the kids left and a group of adults returned, armed with everything but the kitchen sink.

Owens' sister, Ashley Parker, saw the attack. "It was the scariest thing I have ever witnessed." Parker says 20 people, all African American, attacked her brother on the front porch of his home, using "brass buckles, paint cans and anything they could get their hands on."

As the attackers walked away, leaving Owen bleeding on the ground, Parker says one of them said "Now thats justice for Trayvon."

Carl England was shot to death at the Comanche Park Apartments April 5, 2010, in what police believed was a domestic dispute.

Pernell Jefferson was arrested in Carl England's death on April 7, 2010. He is currently incarcerated at William S. Key Correctional Center, Fort Supply but on charges of drug and firearm possession.

The mother of Lindsey Bonistall, the University of Delaware student who was murdered on May 1, 2005, will be the keynote speaker at the 21st annual Crime Victims' Tribute on Wednesday in Dover.

The event is part of National Crime Victims' Rights Week.
Kathleen Bonistall is scheduled to discuss the aftermath of the crime that took her daughter's life and her public comments will come a day after she takes the stand in the penalty phase of the re-trial of James E. Cooke Jr., who was convicted of the 2005 slaying of her daughter earlier this month for a second time.............

A 51-year-old man was charged Monday with second-degree murder in the 1984 slaying of a Milwaukee woman, a killing for which another man had been convicted and imprisoned for 23 years until new evidence brought about his release.

Moses Price Jr. is accused in the slaying of Ione Cychosz, 62, linked to the crime by his DNA found on her clothing, according to a criminal complaint filed in Milwaukee County Circuit Court.

Cychosz's body was found the morning of Nov. 3, 1984, in the 2600 block of N. 7th St., near her home.
She had been beaten, stabbed and bitten.
