I do not need to know details of the 10 years old history to know he should not be behind the wheel of a car.

The ten years old can reach the control perhaps just as you can have sex with the same enjoyment as a 20 years old but the ability to drive the car or your ability to have a sexual relationship does not mean that he should be driving or you should be in a sexual relationship until you are in shouting distance of being a full adult with an adult ability to handle life.
