Why does a guy claim to love his partner but refuse to stop smoking crack cocaine knowing he's going to lose her. He's been in and out of treatment constantly?

People say that love conquers all.
Wouldn't it be nice if that were true.
Two different issues.
He probably DOES love the woman
He loves drugs more.
If it happens over and over again I'll wager that her threat to leave is just a threat. She doesn't leave so he doesn't quit. Next time he gets high, she needs to leave.
