Could you please give the clues for 106d and 105a and the number of letters for each word, and any letters you may already have. With that sort of information somebody is sure to help you.

If 105a was SKILLED, that would enable ELITE, wouldn't it? Are you sure that last "L" in 105a is correct?

You didn't give the clue for 105a, so I can't tell if skilful is the correct answer.
