@tsarstepan,
I have been too open minded with The Cleveland Show. I watched 10 of the episodes so far and last night's episode will be my last one. Funny at moments, overall an unsatisfying glob of meh comedy.

@tsarstepan,
Just a couple of days ago, I discovered a new series from England called, "Come Dine With Me".

A nice, fresh new reality show that highlights dinner party contests.

@edgarblythe,
You not missing anything EB. Don't lose any sleep over it. Though to be fair, it does have a very catchy theme song.

And the fact a white man is the voice actor for the black guy protagonist/lead is an odd fun fact. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M1MKxp8BYY0

@tsarstepan,
Yeah, the English have a way of doing stuff like that very well. Funny as hell. Even the narrating is a scream. Laughing

My family really enjoys "Glee". You can count on a couple big dance numbers, some screwball comedy and a serious moment or two every episode.

@engineer,
I love Glee. My daughter loves all musicals and so loved Highschool Musical but I couldn't sit through that with her, but the other night I heard this music coming out of the tv room and went in and now I'm hooked. It's funny (the woman who plays the cheerleading coach is one of my favorite comic actresses - she's in all of Christopher Guest's movies and she's great) and the guy who plays the glee club teacher is very attractive and he has an amazing voice (showcased here - that's him saying, Get down girl, go 'head get down - and 'I aint sayin' she a gold digger - but she aint messin' with no broke bro'- I love Kanye West, as mixed up as he is). These are the two musical numbers that were in the one show I watched. All the cast apparently does their own singing...very, very impressive I think.

So anyway, this is like the third relatively new show I like and will watch - the other two are Thirty Rock and Flight of the Conchord

"The Forgotten" on ABC. Christian Slater's new show about volunteers who help the police identify unknown bodies. It's another crime/mystery drama, and so far every episode has been very good.

Has anybody else watched the Battlestar Galactica prequel series, Caprica? I just finished watching the first part of the pilot on hulu.com. Looks good so far.

its not a new show but i dont imagine you will have seen it.
rockwiz is a Q/A comedy(?) rock music trivia show with a pub band feel.
host julia zemira makes it.
Special guests from the scene each week combine with audiance members to form two teams that compete.
idiosyncracies such as dougal the broad shouldered roadie who shows the score tally add to the show.
watch the show online here

@dadpad,
I'm wondering if I took this to pitch to a network executive (maybe Fox) I could get a US production of the show made and cash in on the cultural plagiarism. Razz

I just watched back to back episodes (the pilot and the second episode) of a brand new hysterical animated show from FX called Archer.
http://www.hulu.com/archer

Quote:
At ISIS, an international spy agency, global crises are merely opportunities for its highly trained employees to confuse, undermine, betray and royally screw each other. At the center of it all is suave master spy Sterling Archer, whose less-than-masculine code name is "Duchess." Archer works with his domineering mother Malory, who also is his boss. He also has to deal with his ex-girlfriend, Agent Lana Kane and her new boyfriend, ISIS comptroller Cyril Figgis, as well as Malory's lovesick secretary, Cheryl.

Flash Forward has come back with a vengeance!

The twist in the end of the second parter of the 2 part episode? So freaking cool! It has to be seen to be appreciated! That geeky scientists have to be meek and mild? Those days are over! Very Happy
