change on the system ? should it be "change in the system"?

Context:
Since the 1989 change on the political system, Hungarians decided not to detroy the statues linked to socialism. Rather, they removed them from different streets and squares to an outdoor museum in the skirt of the city, now the Communist Park. Here, you can find the statues of Lenin, Marx and Engles, or meet Dimitrov. The keynot of the park is red bricks and statues. Few travellers there. But in the empty park, the traveller was reminded of many memories of the past as he was staring at the familiar statues.
