Water softener brine tank not filling up

What would cause my brine tank to not fill up. Everything else seems to be working fine. I added water to my brine tank and manually activated my water softener cycle. Everything worked fine until the end. No water entered my brine tank.

what model do you have? Am series, could be the poppet not sealing and letting the triguard fill , AQ no water should be in the brine tank until regen
