Vacuum pump for 1983 Mercedes

There is clearly a problem with the vacuum pump on my 1983 Mercedes. The engine shutoff and brakes are not working correctly. However the windows work perfectly. Perhaps the pump is working and lines and/ or gaskets are faulty?
