I read an excellent thread on the recent history of Afghanistan yesterday. I made a short comment, but the thread seems to have disappeared. Can anybody help me locate this important thread?

Thanks, Roger, but it's not it. I scanned all the pages and I couldn't find the long comment.

That's odd. There's no way to actually delete any topics or posts on this software. All deletes are "soft deletes" that retain the data so that they can be reversible. So I looked around and I can't find anything that matches what you describe that has been deleted.

Maybe you it's on the other Afghanistan thread? Hamburger started a second one just before the recent election in Afghanistan. I haven't seen any posts to that thread recently, though.

Thanks for all your help, but the thread seems to have disappeared from general posts and my posts, though it's possible that it never did get set in my posts adequately.
