I was wondering if somewhere in the bible, which I read but not perused, it was hinted that god has a sense of humor.

What do you think?

I've read the Bible cover to cover many times, and never seen anything I felt was an indication that he has a sense of humor from the text itself but have seen many people claim he has a sense of humor based on what they believe he created (such as the platypus, humans, etc).

I came to the very same conclusion but I thought that maybe someone else has another input..

Implicitly by his/her own creations, an observer can tell that god was/is a wicked funny guy..

So an immortal being comes along and divinely inspires a book (or maybe several books) and drop it into hands of some local yokels who still think the sun is a flaming chariot crossing the sky. Then having left not a trace of his own existence on even the tiniest molecule anywhere on the planet he slips away and never returns, leaving the locals to try to make sense of the *book* as an incongruity to the world around them. Pretty funny if you ask me.
