When I was turning fifty, I had some problems and desperately needed a job. Nobody even called me in to interview. But, finally, where I work now, they liked what they saw. When I walked in, they told me they had just hired someone. Two days later, they called to say they the new guy was gone, and I had myself a job. I believe they fired him without letting him prove himself, but I didn't know that for a fact then and really don't know now. The pay was poor, but I suffered it until I felt secure, and then I threatened to quit if they didn't come up with a raise. I did 'em that way twice. Worked both times.

When the job market is tight, these people come out of the woodwork.
There is no room for doubt.
