If you are not comfortable with your pediatricians diagnosis with this - you really should take her to another to get a second opinion. It could be that she is focused on something else and it takes a while for it to register or she could have a problem with her hearing...because it is important to diagnose a hearing loss early since it is important for her learning to speak, then I would urge you to take her to see another pediatrician - especially since you are doubting your present one.
