Must we always kneel or cover our hair whenever we want to pray?

No. God hears our prayers whether we are kneeling, standing, sitting, running, walking, lying down, whatever. He also hears them whether our hair is covered or uncovered. To believe otherwise is not religion, it is superstition.

Indeed, and I am one of those, but I know that in a religious context, "superstition" can mean venerating rituals and symbols over the essence that they point to.

The Bible is clear that if you are a woman, you must cover your hair.

1 Corinthians 11 wrote:
Now I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.

Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head. And every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head—it is just as though her head were shaved. If a woman does not cover her head, she should have her hair cut off; and if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut or shaved off, she should cover her head.

A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of man. For man did not come from woman, but woman from man; neither was man created for woman, but woman for man.

For this reason, and because of the angels, the woman ought to have a sign of authority on her head.

The question "What is the head covering and in what sense is this text applicable today?" is capable of being answered in many differing ways, not just one. Anyway, there is a lot of crazy stuff in the Bible that nobody follows nowadays.

In particular all that stuff about black people being hewers of wood and drawers of water, and all the stuff about women being less than men. All that may be safely ignored.

You're a Judeo-Christian bigot. The author of this thread didn't specify a religious confession, so why do you assume that the bobble is the ultimate authority in this matter?

Exactly what I was thinking (except for the lack of respect on using the word bobble instead of bible).

The author did not specify any particular religion. It is, therefore, not possible to knowledgeably answer the question.

o know, it is not necessary for salvation. God wants prayer to come from the heart as much as we know our own heart. He will work out the details. Because God wants a relationship w/us that requires day and night thinking of God. We can't always wear a hat or covering.

As with most religions, modern education and changing social values have eroded the importance of most of the Hindu religious rites. Only the most orthodox families take the trouble of performing all of them strictly in accordance with the scriptures.

Then Philis should avoid this crap:

1corinthians 11:7-15
7 For a man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man. 8 (For man was not made from woman, but woman from man. 9 Neither was man created for woman, but woman for man.) 10 That is why a woman ought to have a veil on her head, because of the angels. 11 (Nevertheless, in the Lord woman is not independent of man nor man of woman; 12 for as woman was made from man, so man is now born of woman. And all things are from God.) 13 Judge for yourselves; is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered? 14 Does not nature itself teach you that for a man to wear long hair is degrading to him, 15 but if a woman has long hair, it is her pride? For her hair is given to her for a covering.

So, you are not courageous enough to hold your opinions about my ugly nature, as to delete your post and replace it by some silly quote of the fairy book?
