True story. So I was at Ft Dix, NJ. Did I mention it was cold? We were on the rifle range, and had just finished lunch which, I kid you not, included ice cream.
We lined up and one of the DI's asked, "Anyone here know anything about...?"
My friend heard it, from the Hispanic DI, as being "circuits." So did I & so did another two guys. My friend says "I am an electrician. I can do this. We can do this. We can get out of this cold." We raised our hands.
Turned out the DI said "circus." We spent a few hours trying to put up a 10' by 10' tent in the frozen land, with a stiff wind, no idea what we were doing and, did I mention, it was damned cold. We got it done, so the visiting whomever had shelter for his 5 minute stay.
