78 mercedes 300cd cold starting

I have a 300cd slow to fire when cold fires good when warm checked battery and connections are good what could it be?

Its a diesel right? is there a block heating cable? Then use it by plugging it in when is cold.
Your glow plugs are old and feeble.

if i replaced the glow plugs would that fix the problem?

Id bet on it. Try the block heater first. If it starts ok, then its yer glow plugs
