Classic Puzzle Game Snood Now Available on iPhone



The classic 1996 puzzle game, Snood, has been ported to numerous platforms over the years, it was even ported to TI-83 calculators. So it wasn’t too surprising to see Snood (iTunes Link) make its way to the iPhone, it was only a matter of time, especially when we consider the game’s past popularity.

Back in 2001 Jupiter Media Metrix performed a study to find out what were the most popular games, in this study Snood placed 9th. Definitely not a bad ranking considering Snood was competing against games that were bundled with Windows, such as Solitaire.

There’s no shortage of matching games in the App Store, Snood faces some stiff competition. Luckily Electronic Arts enhanced Snood with additional features to make the game more compelling. The biggest addition is the new head-to-head multiplayer feature. You’ll even be able to play with your Facebook buddies, how cool is that?
