Hi there, I have a large painting by Carlotta Edwards entitled "Memories of Strauss". It appears to be a poster that has been "oil painted" over. Was this the artists usual style?

No. She worked on canvas and sometimes board. Your poster (print?) was probably "enhanced" by an amateur.
