picture/image transfer/posting

i'm lost and need help ...
i believe we have topic that explains "how to transfer/post an image/picture" .

all i recall is ..." hover the mouse over the picture and click " - the rest is just a great big BLANK in what's left of my grey cells .

i'd appreciate it if you'd direct me to the topic .
i looked at tags , googled ... nothing looked familiar .

i think i'm confused .
it looks like the only way i can transfer/post a picture/image is by way of imageshack or similar site - which i know how to do .

i wonder why the " ... hover the mouse over the picture ... " keeps flashing back .

This process is for when the image is not already online and you need to upload it somewhere.

This references how to get the URL to an image that is already online.

In Firefox, you can right click an image and "Copy Image Location".

In IE, you can right click and image, select "Properties" and from there highlight and copy the URL.

Once you have the image URL copied you can then paste it between img bbcode tags here to post it (I think you know this step but if any of the steps are unclear let me know).
