my car runs great in town but when we leave town it runs hot. the thermostat and fan clutch have been replaced. 1983 mercedes 300d

[+1] - dadpad - 07/10/2009Flush the radiator. Clean between the cooling fins as well. Try some radiator cleaner, although as rockhead said... it is 26 years old. cleaning it might cause it to leak.

Flush the radiator.

Clean between the cooling fins as well.

Try some radiator cleaner, although as rockhead said... it is 26 years old. cleaning it might cause it to leak.
