Let's see.... a "friend" of mine once forgot and I, I mean he, had to, I mean he GOT to, shower his beloved, the object of his affection, the soul of his world, with back rubs, foot rubs, flowers every Friday for two months (she said it was okay to stop and he continued until she said "No, really it's okay.) and a number of other um duties that he had been neglecting until then which he also had to do until she said it was okay to stop......... have a nice year.....

Joe

What's the problem? The day isn't over is it? Run down to the store and get some paper plates or something. Hey! How about a box of candy?

Woops - start peddling, bear!

But that Squinney is a saint among women! She might just spare your life - at a cost (see Joe Nation's "friend!")

Congradulations, B.P. I would congradulate Squinney, but heck, she could have had anybody.

Ahh, just blame it on Yom Kippur. That way, forgetting has already been atoned for.

Better do something today, then say you wanted it to be a REAL surprise....and you only PRETENDED to forget. She may not buy it, but it might smooth things over.

No. Don't lie. She already knows anyway.

It is humiliating to a wife if her (stupid) husband doesn't remember something (so important) like the day they were (supposedly happily) married.

I hope the groveling and the ideas that Joe Nation offered are on-going in the Bear household. If not, man, you'd better start!

I admit, knowing my own husband has a very poor memory, I, as a good wife, begin talking about where we're going to go early enough that he has PLENTY of time to come up with something worthy. But only because he had a lapse... still rued by him. Very Happy

Every marriage needs at least one of these lapses, but you'd better make up for it with costly and time-consuming, thoughtful gifts. I'm not kidding.

Good Luck and Happy Anniversary.
