You need to get this thing called an umbrella. If you can't find one in Texas you can buy one on any street corner in NY for about $3.

No outside walking? are you made of sugar?

Buy a cheap rain slicker or umbrella when you get there.

(I'm still using the wonderful slicker in a pocket I bought on my first trip back to NYC - it rains in NYC)

Laughing

sorry yall.
I was being sarcastic.
Trust me, I am not afraid of rain. In fact I love it Smile

I will pack my umbrella, which is big enough for 3 people and my crocks.
Wear those with out socks and they dry easy. No need to get my tennis shoes soaking wet.

Im looking forward to it no matter what. Smile

You're gonna love it!

The last time this warm weather spoiled Californian was in NYC it was bitter cold (20s), I got a terrible cold, NYC Transit was on strike, no taxis to be found
and we still had a blast. Manhattan is special!

Okay, are there a bunch of guys who wants to venture into NYC to share a room and prowl the streets? I'm due for another visit to the big city, because my last visit was when our kids were still very young - and that's when David Letterman started his show. How long ago was that?

The weather has been especially sucky this summer. LOTS of RAIN. Tremendous amounts of precipitation. Lightning, thunder, and more rain. I abandoned the idea of building an ark when I contemplated the amount of manure management involved in dealing with two of everything. My mama didn't raise no shit shoveler--not that there's anything wrong with that. Just not my cup of tea.

Discovered I have two doctor's appointments on Friday, not one. It will be more of a challenge, but I'll try my best to get wherever you're gonna be.

Oooookay. (I don't spend enough time here on A2k. um.)
Friday.
After a Ten AM dentist appointment near the Empire State, then I'm free until Saturday 2AM.
Wolfie:
Make a list of what you want to see and do, do and see, do-si-do and we shall venture.

Thomas: Where shall we meet the wanderer/adventurist?
Kicky: Are you calling in sick, because you are sick. Remind to tell you about the hooker/stripper I met yesterday morning. I'll keep it brief.
Roberta: WE MUST MEET.

I am ready for a long walk through the canyons!

Forecast is for scattered showers and 84F. It's going to be lovely.

I know I said something about dinner in the Park...on a budget, that would be the very superior Hot Dog Stand up the hill from the Boathouse nearer to Belvedere Castle. Try the mustard. Divine.
