Pooping is a really good sign.

Just be really really careful about how you handle his poop. Is there any way you can prevent Bean from being in the same air space as his poop?

Do you think he is a Blue Jay Shewolf? He is adorable. I am so impressed that he has done so well under your care.

I guess I forgot to mention that he is indeed a blue jay. Smile

he is doing very well and learning to fly.
I lock the cats into the bed room and let him out to move around so that his muscles dont get weak.
He is now 'gliding' from tops of tables and the couch, to the floor.
He can jump and fly about a foot of the ground, but falls and thumps himself over and over again.

he is like a puppy. Will NOT, i repeat, will NOT stay on one side of the house if I am not there. Heaven forbid i close a door behind me. He sits outside and SCREAMS as if he is being hit. Laughing

Lovely.
Just lovely. :0)

Birdie is beginning to lose his baby down.

I used a dollar bill as a diffuser for this photo.
It allows you to see the pattern of his down much better.

And here he sits....... one of his favorite spots.. On top of my computer monitor so he can scream at me to feed him

In 1969, I was attacked by a Robin family.
I was in my backyard.
Thay had made a nest in one of my rosebushes, with 3 baby Robins,
each of whom grew to the same size as Mrs. Robin, but remained in their nest.
When I approached to a distance that thay considered insufficient,
thay all jumped out and started slugging me. That was their maiden (flite) voyage.
Thay did not return to their nest.
