Hello every one! Today I came across a report by Amnesty International subdivision in Georgia with reference to some local human right activists. You know, this is quite curious. So for instance, it turns out that Saakashvili and Merabishvili assert to us that they play fair with the opposition be engaged in a dialogue when in very deed three days never pass without opposition being attacked. As it happens, authority’s implication in attacks is not always easy to determine but sometimes it is possible. So, here’s a list of attacks against opposition in Georgia during the past two months.
Quote:April 10. Oppositionist Irakli Khukhunishvili got beaten.
April 12. Unknown figures broke equipment and the stage. The police accused opposition of attacking scavengers.
April 14. Two members of opposition were attacked and wounded.
April 15. Three members of opposition got beaten up. The injured persons said they were attacked by the police.
April 16. At Avlabi metro station, five protesters got beaten up. At the President’s Avlabar residence, two protesters got beaten up.
April 21. Levan Mikeladze’s (member of Aalliance For Georgia) apartment got robbed.
April 28. Two protesters got beaten up.
May 3. The police attacked protesters with the use of law enforcement equipment.
May 7. Seventeen people were hospitalized after being attacked by the police.
May 29. Oppositionists were attacked by people in private clothes armed with police batons.
May 31. An unidentified figure rammed the barricades of opposition. Four people got injured.
June 1. An opposition activist got beaten up in Tbilisi.
Impressive, isn’t it? Don’t you have an impression that Mr Saakashvili is hoaxing us? He says one thing and does the opposite. So why do we keep supporting him! What he’s doing is not a democracy. It is an oppressive rule!
