A live nine-centimetre-long worm has been found inside a man's brain during surgery in China.

The 42-year-old man from Luoding is said to have recently developed a mental disorder.

Medical experts suspect the man had the worm because of his habit of eating snakes and frogs, says the South China Morning Post.

Yep. That's totally weird all right... including that it may have happened because he had a habit of eating snakes & frogs.

It is not all that uncommon for humans to get tapeworms in the brain.

Hmmm - I would be a little surprised if a worm that lives in frogs could also live in us - rather different environments, no? I would have thought it mor elikely it came from a mammal - though there are those horrid worms in Africa that one gets from rivers...

Are you people trying to tell me that it isn't normal to have worms in the brain? Guess I'd better call Doc Martin tomorrow.

I recall a local story of tapeworms found in the brains of some people who came here from Latin America. Also, Hulda Clark pushes a method for removing them from some cancer patients.

Gus
I've been telling you to take care of that for a long time, but, nooooo, you never listen to me. I also told you that the worms are what's causing that uncontrolable twitching you have that's been getting worse every day. Remember last week when you twitched and smacked yourself right in the mouth giving yourself a bloody lip? You better get to the doctor before you hurt yourself.

I'll consider your advice, Montana, but reluctantly. I am rather fond of smacking myself in the mouth and self-mutilation in general is a rather satisfying hobby. I probably should heed your advice though. Look what I did to my tooth.

You should Gus. Those worms do get bigger you know! Pretty soon they'll be coming out of your nose and then what?

Gosh, Gus, your pope hat apparently fell off the last time you slapped yourself upside the head.

I admit they are an excellent source of protein, but why not eat grasshoppers instead. They are especially good when deep fried and dipped in chocolate. Crispy and chocolaty--who could ask for more?

It just occurred to me that PDiddie could have them for dessert after his spaghetti.....
