I find the lexical notebook is a good way to learn/teach English. I am a teacher of English. I want to make the lexical notebook a teaching model in the classroom. What do you think of this idea? Any suggestion?

Could you tell us a little more about this idea? I'm not sure I know what you mean by 'lexical notebook.' How would it work?

I think that Coalblack means a notebook full of lexical bundles/lexical chunks. It actually would be a fantastic way to introduce learners to natural everyday speech.

These lexical bundles/chunks are exceedingly common, therefore exceedingly important to natural speech.

Anyone wishing to learn more on these [don't all stampede to the library now] can check out The Longman Grammar of Spoken and Written English; Biber et al
