Solve my Riddle

Opens like "barn door", as in it phonically begins as such ===> "bar"

looks like a bat, as in a bat's primary perceptual means (how it looks at things) ===> "hearing"

Now stick that together with a Shakespearian caveman grunt: "Bar hearing!" (a demand to 'stop the sense of auditory perception')

And thus, you give me your hat to cover my ears. Well! it fits!

A barn door swings open and a bat is shaped like wings...any more hints for this?

I don't know the answer so your guess is as good as mine. I know that some barn doors slide back on wheels. batters after a hit slide into base, and wear batting hats??
