What do you guys suggest?

Thanks.

I'm not up on cooling systems, but if it's just for one room, it would probably be a window unit rather than central cooling.

I wish I knew what part of the Middle East you are in. I tend to think of most of it as being hot and dry. If so, maybe an evaporative cooler would work. They are easy on electric bills, but won't work in humid regions.

Navigator, you need an avatar. I still like the baby that I first saw you with.

Hi roger, thanks for being here. I live in a country called Oman if you heard of it. My avatar is gone, I'll see where I put it.

Of course I've heard of Oman. Persian Gulf, so maybe the humidity is too high for evaporative coolers to work.

Yes , the humidity and dry weather. You just can't imagine how warm is here!

So, not all cooling machines can work properly here. I have one of these central cooling unit. it worked fine for few months but now it causes troubles with the electricity itself.

Tried everything, turned out that it's not a good one, now I want to get myself a new trustworthy one if I can say.

Thanks Butrflynet for the sites, but I'm not sure of getting a portable cooling

conditioner, it's not very common here, so I don't know exactly the cons and

pros of it.

However, I like the window cooling unit with the remote.
