In Dave Barry's column today:

"You don't light a match till you know which end of the dog is barking."

Beats the hell out of me what it means.

Joe Nation
Joe Nation, could Barry be referring to dog farts and lighting a match to disguise the stink?

I don't know, I, unlike you, are not an expert on dogfartism. I am a cat person. How I got to be a cat person I do not know. At one time in my life I raised boxers and had a Doberman, but now I have a cat named Ruby who doesn't fart as much as me. I'm sure Dave was referring to the barking of the fart but I was laughing too much to tell. Laughing Laughing Laughing Cool
