I graduated from high school in 1959, and university in 1964. Those of us that did that at that time still tend to say 'graduated from' instead of graduated high school - which has to do with different language use in different years.

You must get it by now that you are talking to people of different ages from around the world...

or if you don't, you should. A2k has quite a worldly reach (never mind age reach).

oh, well, now that you brought up age diversity, younger people tend to use lol sometimes as a period at the end of a sentance. They aren't really laughing or thinking anything's funny. In fact, there's a facegroup group, "Honestly, I write lol and I'm not even luaghing."

interesting you'd mention history RP, the last year i finished was grade 12 79/80, i did however attend grade 13 (sadly no more), and would have graduated except for an altercation with a history teacher, i argued that we'd have been better served to have learned more about canadian politics and history than we would have spending half a year on slavery and the causes of the american civil war and refused to hand in a major assignment

it was spring time, and the history class was either right before or right after lunch.
i wound up playing a lot of extra frisbee that spring...
